Lakers Dominate District Final
A great season that saw our Eagles ranked as high as #2 came to an end at the hands of the defending state champion Lakers. Physicality and defensive tenacity proved to be more than the Eagles could handle. Great season ladies!
Defensive Battle Goes to TCC
On a night when the homecoming king and queen were crowned(Eli and Sarah) a defensive battle ensued. It took overtime for TC Christian to pull out a 4 point victory. The same two teams battle Friday night at TCC.
Eagles Battle, Take Set 2 but Leland Prevails
There is a reason they have won multiple championships at Leland. They just play so consistently. St. Mary did force a couple of time outs and take set 2 but with 5 Seniors on the floor; Leland's experience and talent was simply too much to overcome.
GBB Opens with a Win vs GTA
Opening nights of MHSAA tournaments are often "tighter" games than the regular season. The outcome of this one was never in doubt, but improved play will be needed Friday night against the defending state champions from Glen Lake.
Claire Couturier Races to State Finals
Recording a top five finish of all time in St. Mary History has earned 8th grader, Claire Couturier, a spot in the MHSAA XC State Finals!. Congrats Claire!
Boys' Basketball Fights to the Bitter End
The season began with expectations down from the previous four years. Battle scars and bruises, plus a big learning curve proved that this season would be different. An old foe, Frankfort awaited with a stacked roster. Your Eagles battled hard 63-55.
Eagles Working Hard on Auction Set-Up
Huge shout out to the 8th Grade Boys' Basketball, JV/V Girls' Basketball and JV/V Boys' Basketball teams for all of their hard work and dedication in setting up for the school Auction.
XC Travels to Marquette
A three-day midweek getaway was just what the doctor ordered to kick off the new season. A good time was had by all.
Oliver and William Play into 3rd and 4th Rounds
The Glen Lake/St. Mary Tennis team finished 4th overall and two points behind St. Francis at the MHSAA STATE FINALS over the weekend. Congrats William and Oliver!
Eagles Battle the Heat
Almost 90 degrees, grass totally burnt and dormant made it clear it was going to be a hot game on Tuesday. Down 1/0 in the third the Eagles found their wings en route to a 9-1 victory over Forest Area in Pre - District MHSAA play.
Eagles Fly to the Breslin
A huge season for St. Mary Basketball in both boy's and girl's basketball ended with a heartbreaking loss in the State Semi-Finals for the boys. The community support throughout the entire season was so greatly appreciated! GO EAGLES !
LLSM Makes Finals in BB and SB @ KP Memorial
A soggy start to the day gave way to decent weather and some good ball games all day. GL took first place in baseball and LLSM won an exciting 4-2 final in a battle of state-ranked teams.
Great Run Ends in Quarter-Final Loss to MPSH
A historic run came to an end to a young but powerful Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart team. Pitching and defense usually win out in games like these and on this day MPSH did it a little better. So much to be proud of and look forward to. Great season!
Three Straight District Titles
It was hot. It wasn't always easy. In the end, it was the wanted result as LLSM took down Buckley and Glen Lake for its third consecutive district championship. They play Saturday at 10 AM at Onekama in Regionals.
