It was hot. It wasn't always easy. In the end, it was the wanted result as LLSM took down Buckley and Glen Lake for its third consecutive district championship. They play Saturday at 10 AM at Onekama in Regionals.
Eagles Battle the Heat
Almost 90 degrees, grass totally burnt and dormant made it clear it was going to be a hot game on Tuesday. Down 1/0 in the third the Eagles found their wings en route to a 9-1 victory over Forest Area in Pre - District MHSAA play.
Tough Regional Final Goes to Frankfort
In a defensive battle that was within 1 point with just over 2 minutes to play, it came down to a deep 3 from Frankfort and some near misses for LLSM. The flu bug hit the team 24 hours before game time and didn't help the night either. Great Season!
LLSM Makes Finals in BB and SB @ KP Memorial
A soggy start to the day gave way to decent weather and some good ball games all day. GL took first place in baseball and LLSM won an exciting 4-2 final in a battle of state-ranked teams.
Eagles Fall to Glen Lake to End Season
When the tournament starts health is always a major key to success. Combine that with playing the number 1 team in Division 4 made for a tall order Wednesday night. A good effort in the first quarter to keep it close eventually wound up with a GL win.
XC Battles Temps @ MSU
Temperatures approaching 90 degrees and a hot sun provided some challenges for all the runners at MSU. The Girl's and the Boy's teams both placed in "The White" Division 19th and 28th respectively.
Eagles Fly to the Breslin
A huge season for St. Mary Basketball in both boy's and girl's basketball ended with a heartbreaking loss in the State Semi-Finals for the boys. The community support throughout the entire season was so greatly appreciated! GO EAGLES !
